I was on holiday in Portugal when news broke that Roger Moore had passed away. That night, I ended up a bit drunk (not that I'm blaming that on Roger Moore!) and the last one awake, which led to sad-git-fan-mode being activated and me pulling this together on my laptop. It wouldn't upload after I made and then I forgot all about it. Only just found it again, so here it is.

Connery IS James Bond. Dalton is the definitive Fleming's Bond. But I will defend Sir Rog's Bond performance even after hell freezes over... he's the most entertaining, the only reason to revisit his era Bonds

I loved Roger Moore as James Bond except for the fact that in order to try to avoid the inevitable comparisons to Sean Connery, he took the Bond films too far in the direction of ridicilous, "over-the-top" comedy! Connery also felt that way about Moore's interpretation of the role!

Loved the "one liners" :)) Funny thery were really only in the Connery and Moore films. :) Part of what we loved about Bond films. What gets me...a nitpick maybe...is why there was never any female nudity...done tastefully of course. With all the sexual innuuendos...why not? :) I mean in the one Daniel Crag Bond film they had him sit naked in a bottomless chair in a torture scene....Connery an More mvie intoro's had naked women dancing in front of a screen...again, done tastefully...that was a part of it so...why not in the films? Could have....not that they HAD TO....
We are so lucky to have these wonderful films as his legacy. If you grew up with Roger Moore as Bond its hard to explain just what a big deal it was each time one of his Bonds was released. An absolute gift. All the ducks lining up every time.
